Get started today by signing the contract, paying your invoice, and filling out a short questionnaire (10 min or less). We’ll send you an email welcoming you to the Lethal fam and include next steps so you know exactly what to expect from here on out.
We go above and beyond to ensure your mark is clear for takeoff! By using special software to discover stealth (AKA otherwise “hidden”) marks, we'll uncover any trademarks that could cause your application to be denied or come back with a low probability of getting approved. Once we take a deep dive into the uncovered results, we'll write you a top-secret letter giving our expert opinion and analysis of risk before we ever press “go.” This way, we can ensure you avoid all unnecessary exposure, expenses, and lost time filing a mark you can’t own.
We’ll file your application within 2 weeks or less of booking, then the government’s review process of your application typically takes 12-15 months. Don’t worry, the USPTO is ‘first come first serve,’ meaning once your application is in, you reserve your place in line and no one else can cut ahead!
We’ll monitor your application on your behalf and handle all government communications until it’s approved. You’ll stay informed but unstressed each step of the way!
When that approval letter comes through, it’s time to celebrate—you just locked down brand ownership forever! But we don’t stop there: We’re always in your corner should you need to protect your brand from copycats and competitors with cease and desists, demand letters, or other infringement responses.

"She makes all the legal stuff EASY, she knows her shit, the experience isn't what any other traditional stuffy ass law firm is like."
“I feel SO relieved I decided to take this step EARLY in my business growth journey. I wasn't sure if it would be worth trademarking right away but the peace of mind, protection, and confidence I feel is invaluable. Lethal Legal made the trademark process so seamless and stress free! I went in knowing very little and left my experience feeling far more educated, empowered, and protected. I can't say enough good things about Chandler and her team.”
“If you want to protect your brand, ideas, etc., you 10,000% need Lethal Legal! The process for trademark filing was so smooth and seamless. I love that I could be hands-off and know my trademarks were in good hands. "We are in the midst of rebranding and really moving into a place of wanting to serve our community, impact them and improve their lives more authentically and we want weight behind it. Chandler helped give us that weight; not many companies in our industry are federally trademarked and we feel strongly that we can be trusted and our clients do too! It’s why we invested in trademarking - it shows that we are vested in our business emotionally AND INvested financially."
"As a small business owner, I was looking to invest in legal for the first time and was so lucky to find Chandler who would help me level up and understand my needs as a creative wanting to scale, value, and protect her brand. In our year of working together, Chandler educated me along the way on what needed to happen and helped me to anticipate what to expect. I would gladly recommend her, and I'm so thankful her firm made the trademark process smooth and exciting! Grateful to have connected with someone so competent and understanding of what I needed for my small business. Chandler delivers, and this investment was a big step for me in where I want to take my business."
"Chandler is an amazing lawyer and very knowledgeable about what she does. My favorite thing about working with her is that when she answers your questions she doesn't just tell you the answer but tells you why, so that you are informed in decisions and things that happen. I was hesitant that it would be too expensive and wondered if it was worth it. And I was wrong! Best investment I have made for myself and my business."
"Lethal Legal makes the daunting trademark process extremely uncomplicated, organized, and efficient, especially for a small business owner. Chandler is so much more approachable than big law firms, and was very upfront with pricing, the process, and how a trademark is beneficial for my specific brand."

There are many reasons why you need a trademark, but the most important is the legal protection and ownership it provides you as a business owner. Without a trademark, the names of your brand, services, products, etc. are subject to being used by other businesses, which can cause confusion among consumers and inhibit the growth of your business.
Potentially! If you think about the number of unique names, words, and design elements you use to promote your business and sell your offerings, you could probably come up with a pretty long list of products, services, etc. In order to fully protect and own your brand, most businesses require multiple trademarks in multiple categories to ensure their intellectual property isn’t lost to copycats or infringement suits. You don’t have to file everything at once, but the sooner you file, the better.
If budget constraints are a concern, we created the Asset Protection Program (APP) as a way to guide you through the process of trademark registration yourself. Keep in mind that the USPTO has rigid and finicky standards for filing your mark, so if you have any concerns about getting your mark filed correctly and quickly, we strongly encourage you to work directly with our legal team as a client.
Great! Filing your trademark BEFORE you launch is the best time to ensure your brand is protected. By filing prior to launch, you can go to market with the confidence and peace of mind that your intellectual property is fully protected from the get-go.
Yes! The difference lies in the type of trademark you will file: a “word mark” vs. a “design mark”. A word mark refers to the name of your brand, whereas a design mark refers to your logo. It’s important to have both, but as a general rule, we suggest starting with your word mark (aka your brand name) since design elements such as logos typically evolve over time.
Once you own a trademark, you will forever own that mark so long as you take the necessary steps to maintain ownership. However, as your brand expands, so does your portfolio of intellectual property, so you’ll likely need to file more trademarks so that your brand continues to be fully protected as you scale.
